How to add/follow Google Alerts in my Feedly?

You can create Google Alerts at https://www.google.com/alerts and get the alerts delivered as RSS feed you can add to your Feedly.

If needed, you can use operators to refine your query and slash out unnecessary noise. Here is a list of some of the most common operators:

“” / Quotes  You can use quotation marks to search for a phrase. Example: “Barack Obama”

AND /+  You can use AND or a plus sign (+) to ensure two words appear in an article, but don’t necessarily have to be next to each other. Example: Tesla AND earnings

– / minus  You can use a minus sign (-) to exclude words within a search. Example: swift key -Taylor If you are looking for the latest developments in swift key but are disinterested in Taylor Swift articles.

OR You can also use OR to run a single search for more than one phrase or word. Example:tesla OR “electric car”

~ / synonyms You can use this ~ symbol in front of a word to search for synonyms. Example: ~funny pets will also return results for hilarious pets.

site: You can use site: in front of a URL to search within one site domain. Example:site:forbes.com Tesla if you are looking for more Forbes articles about Tesla.

intitle: You can use intitle: in front of a keyword to search only within headlines. Example:intitle:tesla if you are only looking for stories with Tesla in their title. Note: make sure that there is no space between intitle: and the keyword you are searching for.

allintext:  You can this allintext: in front of a keyword to search only within the text of a page. Example: allintext:tesla if you are only looking for stories with Tesla in their body. Note: make sure that there is no space between allintext: and the keyword you are searching for.

allinurl: You can this allinurl: in front of a keyword to search only within the url of a page. Example: allinurl:tesla if you are only looking for stories with tesla in their URL. Note: make sure that there is no space between allinurl: and the keyword you are searching for.
