3. RSS Builder - Pro+ feature

When a website does not have an RSS Feed, you may see an RSS Builder option to create a feed. This can be a quick and easy way to build a feed from a website that does not have an RSS feed!

Troubleshooting

When you can't find the Feed directly:

Search for the site’s name (as opposed to the URL)

  • If you search for a site’s URL (e.g. http://www.interviewmagazine.com/) we might return: “No feeds found”
  • Try to remove http:// and .com and simply search for the website’s name (e.g. interviewmagazine)
  • We should be able to find the site’s feed or multiple feeds from the site if they have more than

3 ways to find and add a feed:

If the previous methods didn’t work, then you will have to find the site’s feed.

  • You can look for the RSS button on the site’s page. Copy and paste this .xml URL in Feedly discover page (see above).
  • Try adding /feed, /feeds or /rss at the end of the site’s URL. That will either return a 404 page (fail) or the feed itself (success!). Once you have found the feed’s URL add it to the discover page (see above)
  • Open the source of the website and search for ".rss" or ".xml" or ".atom" in the source, sometimes the source is there and you can copy and paste it to Feedly.

If none of these methods work, please don’t hesitate to contact us back with the feed’s URL and we can try to find the feeds you are missing together. We can also ask the publisher to add the RSS feed or let us know what their RSS feed is - you can ask them too :)

Other options to consider if you can't find an RSS feed for the site:

  1. You can also follow Newsletters in Feedly: https://blog.feedly.com/get-newsletters-in-feedly/
  2. You can use the RSS Builder in Feedly to build an RSS feed from the site. Just paste the URL into the discover page (see above). https://blog.feedly.com/easily-follow-websites-that-dont-have-rss-feeds/

Note: If you're a publisher and want your website available in Feedly, just make sure the RSS URL is public. Anyone can add it to Feedly with the public RSS link.
